ProZ.com membership is 1000x worth the cost! I wouldn't give up the unlimited Blue Board access for anything... ProZ.com is a great website.

I have had a lot more profitable work since I joined ProZ.com last year,

I must say that I continue to be breathless at how well ProZ.com anticipates / accommodates the needs of freelance translators. . . I was tearing my hair out and tossing small wads of money down the drain trying to find an invoicing program that did only what yours now does and nothing more.

It's definitely worth it. I've been a registered user at ProZ.com since 2002, but only started getting jobs through the site after becoming a member. The membership fee paid back after the first order.

The membership helped me launch my professional career. I began receiving job offers through my profile from outsourcers from both Poland and abroad. In my case, the fee paid off in the very first month of being a full member. Being a paying member doesn't automatically make you a better translator, but it certainly gives you more opportunities.

I think the invoicing tool is about as perfect as it can be. Great job!

My workload has climbed steadily since I became a member... Another great advantage is the Blue Board... My latest (very big) job came through ProZ.com, so I would say: "Go for it!"

When I started freelancing almost ten years ago, I used a variety of methods to reach out to potential clients. I placed an ad in the local yellow pages (no lead whatsoever), I sent out hundreds of emails to translation agencies (this landed me a couple of jobs), but by far the most efficient way of promotion was using the features that are available on ProZ.com.

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. I left my "safe" English teaching job and recontacted my old clients. It didn't take long and I was soon back on track. Thanks to ProZ I have made contacts with new agencies around the world. I have met colleagues worldwide and found new friends... Words are my passion and this is the ideal job for me with growing children who love to see me around. ProZ.com is an essential tool for translators and interpreters. For me, it is a virtual work and marketplace. Forums, Powwows, conferences and group buys add a very beneficial social component without which many translators would feel very lost and alone in today's market.

ProZ.com has been a valuable resource,such as allowing me to organize a powwow which allowed for new contacts, which have encouraged to the valuable translator relation information that is presented. And most of all in the KudoZ which has allowed me to

Thanks to ProZ.com in one year my life has changed, I have now become a full time translator, receiving many jobs from Italy and mainly abroad, I have now created my full time job which I can do from any part of the world or just by staying at home, all of this has been possible thanks to ProZ.com and the friendly and warm community support network! As an old song used to say, more or less, "Jeepers, creepers... where�d ya get them... 'ideas'"? These new features are simply fantastic and they work beautifully. My platinum membership is worth every dollar.

Avant tout, ProZ représente pour moi une plate-forme d’échanges internationale permettant de côtoyer d’autres traducteurs via les forums et les formations –je pense notamment au France Regional Event- . J’apprécie également la possibilité de pouvoir obtenir des informations sur les agences de traduction et les donneurs d’ordre en général grâce au Blue Board (certes non exhaustif, mais ô combien utile !), et de l’aide en cas de besoin avec les KudoZ. De plus, grâce à ProZ, j’ai trouvé un client avec lequel je travaille régulièrement : espérons que cela ne soit que le début d’une longue série !...

En fait, ProZ offre l’opportunité de développer son réseau à la fois en termes de « collègues » et de clients. Un investissement que je suis donc prête à renouveler !

I never regret my decision to join ProZ.com, because I find it both rewarding and enjoyable to be a member of the world's largest portal for translators and interpreters.

Being a ProZ.com member makes you more visible. Most of the jobs are awarded directly, bypassing the bidding system.

One thing is for sure, I have never regretted my membership: the forums contain a wealth of extremely useful information and colleagues are always willing to help with advice; the Blue Board has saved me from making bad business decisions on at least two occasions - saving me hundreds if not thousands of Euros and countless hours of lost time; both organizing and attending powwows has allowed me to meet some incredible people and build a strong network. Paying for membership is not only a way to gain access to all the site has to offer, for me it is also a way to support this community and encourage its development.

ProZ.com is a terrific resource for anyone working with languages. It is great to meet other people working in the same field and to have access to glossaries and other useful information. Above all, for us at Shamrock, we have been able to win jobs in other countries, about which, without ProZ, we would never otherwise have known.
