The Translator Diaries

The Translator Diaries e-book is based on a series of online interviews with fourteen freelance translators, which sought to draw valuable, specific advice that new and aspiring translators could implement in their plan to enter the industry. The series aimed to provide inspiring accounts that translation students and newcomers could relate to in order to make decisions when it comes to breaking into the industry and making their career successful.

The e-book brings together short extracts of advice, in a vibrant and easy-to-read layout, organised under key topics, such as how to acquire experience and qualifications, how to make the transition from student to freelancer, how to survive the start-up phase and how to build up a client base.

Within the first week of its publication in October 2013, The Translator Diaries e-book received over 4,000 views, having been distributed to UK universities and shared intensively across Twitter.

The e-book is free and can be read and downloaded on Lloyd Bingham's website: http://capital-translations.co.uk/e-book/
