Bio

I have more than 20 years’ experience as a full-time professional translator from English to Swedish, specializing in business, legal and marketing texts. I have an analytical mind, and my forte is to combine accuracy with a keen sense of style.

I spent my first 15 years in-house, working in close-knit teams, receiving and giving continuous feedback. I also trained new translators. In 2016, I set up my own business as a freelancer.



Personal interests are literature, fashion, interior design, travelling and running, along with investments and the financial markets.

Education:

  • Master's degree in Library and Information Science
  • Legal courses: Extended Introduction to Law, Contract Law, Company Law, International Contracts
  • English (60 ECTS)
  • Creative Writing, Writing for the Web and Interactive Media

I'm authorized as a legal (sworn) translator by Swedish government agency Kammarkollegiet for English to Swedish translations.

I am also ATA certified and a full member of SFÖ, The Swedish Association of Professional Translators.
