Adopted by the Commission on 18 December. In this ex-post evaluation of the MEDIA II programme, the Commission confirms that a Community programme to assist the European audiovisual industry was fully justified. It considers that the programme took into account the characteristics of the European audiovisual programme market and was geared to the needs of the industry, especially with the focusing of resources on the three key elements of development, distribution and training.
