Spanish term

de esta plaza

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Taken from the formulaic introduction in the minutes of a Costa Rican corporation's general assembly:

"Acta Numero XXX: Asamblea General Ordinaria y Extraordinaria de Accionistas de ABC S.A., de esta plaza, con cédula jurídica número..."

I'm not certain how best to translate "de esta plaza". Does it simply mean "at this location"? Or "of this jurisdiction"? Or is there an equivalent formulaic phrase in English to express the concept?

Thanks in advance for you help!

Oops, sorry, Barbra. I hadn't noticed that my default settings were on English to Spanish. Thanks to Álvaro for redirecting this question to where it should be. Cheers.

Hi Martin, would you not be better off checking with the Spanish to English forum instead? Regards.

registered at this address

I think it means that the company's registered office/business address is the same as the location/address that has appeared previously in the document.

of this juridiction/marketplace/town/location/city

It all depends on the legal sense that Costa Rica's dispositions give to the word "plaza" in that context...I would vote for "town" or "city" since it seems to refer to the corporate adress of the company.
Peer comment(s):

agree Carlos Segura : Yes, "town" or "city". At least in Spain, the use of "plaza" does not seem to get close to "jurisdiction".

Thanks, Carlos.
agree Adriana Martinez : Agree, y lo mismo que explica Carlos sobre España y plaza, se aplica a México.
