Spanish term

éxito de captación de la gama... en España

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Investment Funds
Investment Fund Range (Spain)

I believe that "captación" is talking about attracting investors to the fund range. However, I'm not quite sure exactly what "en España" is referring to here. Is it referring to the investors who have been attracted (ie that they are Spanish investors or investors located in Spain) or is it simply referring to the fact that the fund range is located in Spain?

Here is the full sentence (it's actually the heading of this text).

"Éxito de captación de la gama de fondos (name of fund range) en España, superando los (amount in millions of Euros) bajo gestión."

Any contributions or comments would be most welcome.

Thanks. Yes, I'd asked part of the same question on TCT but then realised that I needed to clarify about the Spanish issue and thought it might be better to do that here.

I think 'gama de fondos' means portfolio of funds. A broker will have a large portfolio or selection funds.

It looks like you already have your answer on Translatorscafe, but I would have thought it almost certainly means Spanish investors.

Or "XXX"'s success in attracting inward investment (if the company is Spanish).
