Proofing a translation of some Terms and Conditions, I find this all over the text:
Supplier represents and warrants, and will cause Supplier Affiliates to represent and warrant...
The current translation has "y causará que...," but that bothers me.
EL Proveedor representa y garantiza, y causará que los Proveedores Afiliados representen y garanticen ...
There must be a better, set way of saying that, but I cannot find it, and I am surprised I could not find a previous question here in ProZ asking the same question.
If it is like it is, so be it, and I´ll leave it as is, but I´d appreciate confirmation

I am not totally sure, but I give 2 options that may work and probably "sound" better... (at least to my ear!)

Depending on additional context, "motivará" or even "provocará", could be options. Even "dará pie a que..."

Another simple option (probably best) could be "hará(n) que", at least in the context example provided.

Con el contexto adicional que proporcionas "hará" o "se asegurará de que", serían las opciones que más me convencerían.
Es decir, el Proveedor no solo se responsabiliza por su propio acuerdo, sino que que se asegurará que sus filiales también se rigen de acuerdo al documento en cuestión.
O sea, que yo puedo decirte que "de acuerdo con lo que me dices", pero mis Afiliados hacen lo que que quieren... Así que, no, yo me comprometo a que cualquier afiliado (o franquicia) a la que yo vaya a distribuir, también se sujete a los acuerdos establecidos...

Comment: "Muchas gracias a todos. Me decanté por "hará que", que Juan también sugiere, pero que John agregó 1 hora después de su sugerencia inicial, antes de Juan. Utilizo el término con reservas, porque aún sigo sospechando que debe existir una traducción más o menos establecida, y que dicha traducción no es ninguna de las opciones aquí propuestas. En todo caso, "hará que" transmite la idea de "will cause to"."
