7.4 Responsibilities of Relationship Manager (RMs) / Client Supports Representatives (CSRs)

Major responsibilities of RMs and CRs include, but not limited to, the following:

1. Know Your Customer (KYC) - to know the identity of all clients, including beneficial owners. It is of paramount importance to know the client’s business or professional activities, sources of the client’s income, wealth or assets, and the particular source of the funds that are the subject of transactions at the bank.

2. To accept customer instructions for all approved standard Private Banking & Wealth Management Group services / product, provided that the acceptance of such instructions are not without proper authority. Customer instructions leading to non-standard operations which are not covered by approved guidelines and procedures may be accepted and executed with appropriate approval.

3. To validate all customer instructions, all Instructions should be in writing / fax / e-mail / verbal in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Account Mandate.
4. To review and monitor their accounts on an ongoing basis. In this regard, RMs should review transactions for their customer accounts and report to Head of PBWMG OPS for suspicious transactions and account movement identified with a copy to Head of Operational Risk.

5. Other than relaying house view to and taking instructions from customers, CRs should not give any advice to customers.
