Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Jan 27, 2004:
context? I'm not sure what kind of information you need - let's try like this: The director choses where to put the mark, someone takes some duck tape and makes a cross on the stage/set. The actor is told that this is the place to stand when he starts delivering his lines. It is a "oznaka", but I'm trying to get the exact term that the people involved in the process of shooting a movie use.

I need more context in English. It looks like znak or oznaka but I can't be sure.

Oznaka, znak

I've been directed in both Hebrew and English and don't remember jargon for such directions. Feel free to go with your everyday language. Many actors are extras and don't understand a whole lot.
