Şurubul de blocare (fără cap) se va găsi la minimum 0.050" sub suprafaţa rotorului şi va fi asigurat prin ştemuire.
Ştemuirea este deformarea cu ciocanul a materialului unui nit sau alt element de asamblare, astfel încît să formeze un fel de creastă, să se şi dilate în alezaj şi să nu mai iasă.
În cazul de faţă, şurubul de blocare fără cap fiind sub suprafaţa rotorului, este ciocănit folosind un fel de daltă care produce o crestătură pe mijloc şi împinge metalul în laterală, avînd acelaşi efect. Pentru precizie, nu am descris scula ci procedeul.
