STABILIZE The operator can toggle between the auto and stabilize modes using the “auto/stabilize” switch on the RC handset. In stabilize mode, the autopilot uses the on-board gyros to keep the aircraft flying level, but takes the throttle and pose commands from the rudder, aileron and elevator sticks on the RC handset to control the bulk motion of the aircraft.

Por ejemplo el movimiento de ascensión o avance del aparato sería el bulk motion, mientras que los movimientos de vibración o de estabilización más cortos y repetitivos que se superponen al movimiento principal no serían bulk motion, sino movimientos secundarios. Te doy el concepto, pero no estoy seguro de los términos más usados en español.

El término se usa en mecánica de fluidos por ejemplo. El movimiento de la corriente de un fluido, a nivel macróscopico, sería "bulk motion". Pero dentro de ese movimiento, las partículas no mantienen una distancia fija entre ellas, sino que hay un movimiento de difusión entre ellas a nivel micróscopico que no se considera cuando se dice "bulk motion".
