French term

Agent d'emploi en biologie

French to English Science Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs Job Title
I'm translating the employment history of a person from Algeria, and am having trouble with this job title. The employer is listed as the National Ministry of Agriculture in Algeria. Elsewhere I've seen that 'agent à l'emploi' (as opposed to 'd'emploi') can mean something like 'employment agent' or 'Human resources officer', but I'm not sure if that fits in this context.

Any help would be appreciated.

Discussion

Craftiful (asker) Apr 13, 2010:
It doesn't actually give any more information about the job than that - it's just a list of all the jobs the person's had, the names of the employers, and the dates of employment. (If it helps, the other jobs the person has had are 'professeur en francais', and 'professeur en science'.)

Craftiful, Couldn't you give us more context, e.g. the functions included in the position of "agent de l'emploi". These would make it clearer.

PS. I was unable to copy and paste from this specific PDF file. I have just noticed that the French should say "ou avec l'agent d'emploi" and NOT "or avec l'agent d'emploi".

Employment officer (biology)

It is rather odd for an employment officer job to be so restricted. I think that the best way round the problem is to put "biology" in brackets, as it is supplementary to the job title.
