You probably want to avoid substituting an EN initialism for UAC because all the obvious ones have been claimed as company names or proprietary product names (see links). Just spell it out and keep it lowercase.

: An RTU is just an interface to drive something remotely, while in this case the unit collects information and applies commands by itself, it is only interfaced with a centralized supervisory unit
