fourrure

French to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering insulation glasswool
This is a customer satisfaction survey on fibrewool
Is metal frame OK or is this more specific?

rail (here)

You nail metal brackets to your rafters and then slide a rail onto them which supports the insulation. I know this because I've done it rather than any relevant translation skill, but I'm sure this is what it is! Try looking at some Google image sites with appropriate search terms and you'll see what I mean.
