heating regulation controls
"en derogation" usually means exceeding set limits, not functioning according to rules. eg a river in flood or use of a drug other than as directed. So we are talking about a control for regulating the heating when it is malfunctioning or simply exceeding set parameters.
Can see how this would often lead to 'override' translations, but not sure how that would work here. I don't think 'remote' is possible.

: override is a very common translation for 'dérogation' in technical contexts: think of 'waiver'... the normal control conditions are deliberately 'set aside'. Regulation in this context would mean something completely different
