français term

transposition des prix

français vers anglais Marketing Foresterie / bois / bois d'œuvre Study for Forestry in Quebec, Canada
I am translating a study performed for the Forestry industry in Quebec, Canada. This is specifically for marketing of timber harvested in the province of Quebec.

The document contains several references to "transposition des prix" or "prix transposé". I cannot find any specific translations into English of this particular use of the word "transposition" and hope someone can give me a hand.

Reference is made to this term in regards to the government agency setting the price, as can be seen in the context below. Any help will be very appreciated:

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

To: Asker I will do that

@Marco Solinas Why don't you just suggest "price transposition", Marco? Then I will give you the points and we can add the term to the ProZ glossary, because I decided that it was what I will use since no one knows of anything else and it is used in the Canadian documents, like your reference. Thanks very much!

@Marco Solinas That's a great reference, Marco - Thanks! However, the English is just a translation, and may even be a machine translation. I will probably go ahead and use it though. It doesn't seem there is any "official" translation of the term. Pretty confusing, because it makes no sense to me. But, great reference. Thanks!

See this I think the appendix of this document (pages 24 and following) is the British Columbia study to which your document refers: http://www.cirano.qc.ca/pdf/publication/2012RP-06.pdf
They talk about "price transposition" (see page 26 and following).

Additional information They are discussing in this section the different types of auctions to be implemented. The auction is being used to determine a proper and fair market price, so this is part of the context of what they are discussing here. I have thought the only thing that fits the context is "setting the price", but I just don't know and thought maybe someone else has more insight in to the use of this terminology. Thanks, Laura

I am wondering whether it is about "prices upgrade"

You could use it as a noun: "price adaptation" but that sounds a bit wordy.

Thank you, Ben.
