I've come up with "modular drawer system" but I'm sure that there has to be a better name out there.

'Pedestal' drawer unit if it is attached (and weight-bearing), 'free-standing' if not, 'rolling' if on castors.
If it is priced or sold separately from the desktop, it's modular.

| I don't know if they're modular or not... the entire French phrase is there and it's true that "modulaire" does not appear... I was looking at pics on google, and a fair number of them that I image to be similar to what is being talked about here came with the name "modular drawer system"... |
