"á titre conservatoire" in this context just means "to have / keep on file". means "We ask you to file; however this is not an acceptance of the claim, just a recording thereof

looks like "as a precautionary measure" or "as a means of preserving your rights" - the idea being that if you fail to report a lsos within a certain period of time the right to damages or whatever might be lost.

No, I translated the whole phrase. The claim that corresponds to you: your claim. That's all it means: You are welcome to send in / file your claim.
neutral cmwilliams (X) : you have not translated 'à titre conservatoire". And it doesn't necessarily mean filing a claim. It's really just notifying the insurer of any possible claim.

agree AllegroTrans : yes but not a "disaster claim" just a "claim" // "sinistre" does not mean exclusively "fire". A driving accident claim is also a "sinistre" ; it just means "loss" or "claim" (Deloittes European Insurance Handbook; glossary)

Thank you, AllegroTrans! You can say a disaster claim, though. You're not understanding what I'm saying: A "sinistre" is just a "claim" (not arguing that); but if you know the claim relates to a fire, it's possible to say "disaster claim" in English.
