French term

actions non libérées

French to English Bus/Financial Investment / Securities
The way I understand, when it is libérée, this pertains to a fully paid up share... but here it talks about "actions non libérées des versements exigibles" and I wonder if that refers to, say, mortgaged shares, or pawned shares... or could I use shares not fully paid up? Text follows:

Not fully paid up?

I'm sorry I can't answer categorically. The glossary has an entry for 'versements exigibles'

However, you may not agree with the answer given.

It seems to me that it could be that provided holders of non-fully paid-up shares have kept up with their payments, they will still be able to vote and only those having fallen behind with payments will be excluded.

non-fully paid up shares

My suggestion.

libéré (in this context) = fully paid up
Peer comment(s):

agree Rob Grayson : Google does actually show some usage of this rendering, though I personally dislike it; in the given context, I would prefer "shares not fully paid up"
