French term

au vu de

French to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Internet marketing services
"Il est précisé qu’en cas de procédure restreinte ou de marché négocié, le dossier de consultation n’est accessible qu’aux entreprises sélectionnées au vu de leur dossier de candidature."
I've seen the other "given/following" meaning in Kudoz but in this case does it just mean "once their application has been approved"?
TIA
Kevin

Bizarre! Must be gremlins... I could have sworn there was even another answer showing when I added mine... I must be losing it!

P.S. ... and no, AFAIK, this question has not been tampered with
Kevin LOVELADY (asker) Apr 4, 2006:
Tony -Dusty-: I did see a few "exact phrase" translations for this ("given" and "following" - http://www.proz.com/kudoz/789989) when I previewed my question but none of them fitted my context.

I don't understand, I thought I answered this question ages ago, but my answer seems to have been hidden? Has this question been tampered with?

agree Richard Benham : Yes it could, although "on the basis of" is at least as good.
