French term
café portionné
French to English
Bus/Financial
Management
XYZ, filiale du Groupe ABC et référence du café portionné haut de gamme, ....
This is the introduction to a company and there is no context to help. They make all sorts of branded coffee products. By "café portionné" do they mean granulated coffee? - or "portions of coffee" (which doesn't make sense in English), or what???

individual coffee pods
Have a look at the link below. The site is in French and English. It's a new coffee making machine which is being advertised a lot on tv in France at the moment. You use a small pod each time you make a drink, rather than measuring out spoonfuls of coffee from a bag.

: What is a pod? A pod is a measured portion of ground coffee. ... Ground, measured, shopping.msn.com/results/shp/?bCatId=4744 - 79k

: This is fine, as long as they ONLY make that kind of pack; but many mfrs make several different types, some of which couldn't be called 'pods'

Comment: "It was a very dificult choice because both of the others were excellent but I chose this because it tied up with text further on. Many thanks everyone."

This may be a good alternative as a general description of the product as the words "pod" and "capsule" seem to be brand specific (without mentioning any names!!!)

: Another good option, though perhaps a little clumsier for repeated use?
