I've just realised that I don't really understand what is meant here at all (having once thought I did!).

It's "enseignes" that is causing me most dificulty...

Many thanks in advance for any help with fathoming this out.

I think it's probably referring to stores, but I think I'd play safe and use the rather vaguer "outlets" instead.

disagree rkillings : Good link, but 'subsidiaries' (= filiales) has nothing to do with the meaning of enseigne.
