French term

version cartée

French to English Marketing Marketing email advertisement
I am translating an email advertising a privilege shopping event, and at the top in capital letters it says VERSION CARTÉE. I have no idea what this means - can anyone help?

(loyalty) card holder version

I am pretty sure that this is the kind of card they are referring to. The customers must present it when shopping in the establishment/ on the site. It could also be an invitation card which must also be presented for access. You will have to check the context.
Note from asker:
I am quite sure that you are correct, because later the words 'version non cartee' appear, so I think there are 2 events, one for cardholders and one for non-card-holders.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Catharine Cellier-Smart : Possibly, but why "version cartée" in that case ? Why not "événement carté" ? Seems to me that "cartée" refers to the version of the e-mail rather than the shopping event (unless the event has several versions ...)

Always depends what kind of shopping event it is (ie erotic boutique)
