French term

hématome rétroauriculaire

French to English Medical Medical: Cardiology coronary artery bypass grafting
Like my last question, this is a figure legend and unfortunately I have no more context.

"Hématome rétroauriculaire droit de révélation fortuite et tardive (15 ans) après pontage aorto-coronarien.Patient asymptomatique,hématome respecté."

Would it be haematoma on the posterior wall of the right atrium? And what would hématome respecté mean?

Discussion

Helen Genevier (asker) Sep 9, 2006:
Having read a bit more about atrial compression/tamponade due to atrial hematoma, does anyone have any opinions on whether the "retro" part would be referring to pericardial or intramural atrial hematoma?

Angela, thank you, your sympathy helps, and I'm not being sarcastic! :-)
Angela Dickson (X) Sep 8, 2006:
don't think I have an answer to this but just to say I feel your pain - customers who send figure legends without the figures that go with them, and can't understand why you might want the figures! Makes me cross.
Drmanu49 Sep 8, 2006:
Hématome respecté might mean (according to the context) not treated.
