This term is found in the instructions for carrying out a bone marrow aspiration procedure using an LP needle (rather than a trocar).
The last line of the instructions in the source text (before the aspirate sample is actually taken) reads:
Enlever le guide.
Could this be an 'obturator'? Or is it just a plain 'guidewire' like with a trocar?
