Hi there,
The text is about label printing and specifically printing wine labels. I have found that "dorure" can mean "gilding", but I'm not sure this would fit into the context of a wine label.
"Cette rotative, qui réalise des **dorures galbées** et des gaufrages en 3D avec beaucoup de finesse, sera plus large que les machines actuelles de Cognac :"
Thanks!

foil embossed labels
A suggestion.
Foil Stamping and Embossing provide that "extra touch" that can take an existing label design over the top. By adding an embossed foil label or sticker to your product, you're making a statement that gets noticed every time. Foil stamping and embossing are used to highlight your packaging and separate it from the many other products on the store shelves.

: I think this is it, though it mightn't necessarily be 'foil' — it could just be gold ink, for example

Thanks Tony. You may well be right - the next time I imbibe I'll scrutinise the label more closely!

: Right! This company certainly does seem to be using it in connection with hot foil blocking, so it looks like Alain was completely right after all!
