Hello,

...Hence, it is important to be able to make PMR systems progress towards higher debits in broadband.

Thank you in advance

@pooja chic Thanks! :)

@Terry Richards Thank you for the explanation I appreciate it :)
Terry Richards Aug 2, 2011:
Bandwidth v. speed Bandwidth is the number of datastreams the medium can pass at the same time. Speed is the amount of information that can be sent down those datastreams. To send more information, you can either add more datasteams (bandwidth) or you can make the streams you have faster (which basicly means higher frequency). Broadband can be wider and/or faster by adding more channels or upping the speed/frequency of the existing channels. As they both result in more data going down the wire, the terms are often used interchangeably but there is a slight difference.

Unless the audience is highly technical, I would go with "faster broadband" and everybody will know what you mean without worrying about the details of how that faster speed is achieved.

(faster) broadband

Depending on audience, faster broadband has a more readily understandable tone then broader (or higher) bandwidth, although I think each is correct

Note from asker:
thank you for your answer, I am getting confused I have translated "bande passante "as bandwidth" (GDT)
