PLASMA NOZZLE DIAGRAM
This shows, inter alia (and in descending order on one side):
Voltage
Grounding
Blende mit *Bohrungen*
Nozzle head
Substrate
Would 'bores' be adequate/appropriate?
Unfortunately I can't reproduce the diagram for obvious reasons, there is no textual description of how the system functions, and I am unfamiliar with this field. I HAVE checked Proz glossaries and several online dictionaries, but there are several alternatives. I'm looking for a specific or umbrella term to fit - or an intelligent guess . TIA

Google: plasma nozzle bores
and you will find lots of sources.
However: I found "orifices", too.
I figure you can use both.

holes
The emphasis is not "to bore" or ´"to drill", but the resulting hole

Precise Holes – no Trick but Know-How
It is generally known that plasma can be used not only for cutting long-run contours but also for cutting holes into all electrically conductive materials.

ESAB Introduces Precision Hole Technology™ for Plasma Cutting Machines
New technology provides an integrated set of systems that improve hole cutting cylindricity while delivering the highest possible edge quality for precise hole cutting capability

The new True Hole technology for mild steel produces much better holes than what was previously possible with plasma. The above cut samples show ½ in thick mild steel cut with (left) and without the new technology. The pin fits perfectly in the True Hole sample because the hole is almost perfectly shaped. The hole cut without True Hole is wider at the top than at the bottom, causing the pin to fit poorly.
