Greek to English Social Sciences Philosophy
"Άρση του αυτονόητου" και "στοχασμός χωρίς τέλος" όπως τη χαρακτήρισε ο E. Husserl, η φιλοσοφία απευθύνεται στην έμφυτη κριτική κι δημιουργική ικανότητα του ανθρώπινου πνεύματος διατυπώνοντας έννοιες και ερμηνείες και επικεντρώνοντας το ενδιαφέρον της σε ζητήματα γλώσσας και νοήματος [...].

invalidation or falsification (of self-evidence) may also be worth considering, according to this (page 73):

Or perhaps even refutal, provided we acknowledged self-evidence as a self-refuting concept...

I am not so sure. I found very many references where the word “obvious” (and das Offensichtliche) has clearly been used instead of “self-evident” (or Evidenz) in relation to Husserl, but unfortunately I don’t have time to research this more at the moment because I have a translation of my own to do.

However, one example is this one:

The beauty of phenomenology is that it can be applied to anything: other people at ... that is, phenomenology, or as Husserl calls it, "the science of the obvious.

Quite right. (And that's probably the theory of relativity of translation. :) ) As regards, Husserl's Evidenz, self-evidence is the best equivalent.

Husserl's concept of Evidenz is variously rendered as 'inner evidence','self-evidence', or simply 'evidence'.

The evidence Husserl means is self-evidence

Peter Close Oct 25, 2016:
Edmund Husserl was German, and so any material in English is going to be a translation from German. Edmund Gustav Albrecht Husserl was a German philosopher who established the school of phenomenology. In his early work, he elaborated critiques of historicism and of psychologism in logic based on analyses of intentionality. He was born in 1859 and died in 1936. So, let’s hope that all people interpreting what he said or wrote translated everything identically.

rejection of self-evidence

Είμαι βέβαιος για το self-evidence, αλλά όχι για τη σημασία της «άρσης» στο κείμενο.

Ξέχασα να πω ότι έχω πειστεί, με βάση τα συμφραζόμενα, για την ακρίβεια του "rejection". Φτάνουν αυτά τα παραδείγματα:
