Όσον αφορά τη διαφορά μεταξύ donam ή dunam: σύμφωνα με την Wikipedia, 1 dunam στην Κύπρο είναι 14.400 τετραγωνικά πόδια, ήτοι 1,337,8 m². Το στρέμμα είναι 1000 τετραγωνικά μέτρα. Η διαφορά είναι σημαντική και ανήκουν και σε διαφορετικά μετρικά συστήματα.
Εκτός κι αν στην Κύπρο το donum χρησιμοποιείται με τη σημασία και την αξία που έχει το στρέμμα.
