The 'Asked' does not say 'Prisoners'. It is a service for transporting from and to Courts. Judges can be transported, or witnesses smoetimes, as much as prisoners.

: The link I gave in my recommendation describes the service in full and it states that the main purpose of the service is to transport prisoners. Its other purpose is to maintain order in the Athens and Piraeus courts.

Discussion
By the above, ' και τη λήψη' APART from transporting PRISONERS, they could be transporting the JUDGE, say, for safety. OR WITNESSES, again for 'safety'. There is no SPECIFICATION of transporting ONLY prisoners, it simply says,'....Διεύθυνση Μεταγωγών', Even if it were so and it is JUST the function of the service, why repeat it??? I wish I did not have to give an American example, that's the only one I could lay my hands on, at that moment.
