Bio
My name is Daniel Krauße.
I am a native speaker of German and specialize in
translation and interpretation services in English and Indonesian. As a
certified and sworn translator for the Indonesian language in Germany and a
professional interpreter for English, I regularly translate between the three
languages.
I hold a PhD degree in Linguistics from the University of
Newcastle in Australia and a Master's degree in Comparative Linguistics from
the University of Frankfurt. I spent most of life in Germany, Indonesia, and
Australia.
I started my BA studies in 2010 with a major in Indo-European Studies and a minor in Southeast Asian Studies at the University
of Frankfurt. With a BA thesis on the Malay Influence on Thai, I graduated in
2013 and then continued my studies with an MA in Comparative Linguistics at the
University of Frankfurt. In 2017, I handed in my MA thesis on the Surabaya
dialect of East Javanese. I carried on with Linguistics in a doctorate program
at the University of Newcastle in Australia. In 2022, I published my PhD thesis
on complex predicates in Australian and Oceanic languages.
I have been working as a language teacher for German,
French, and Thai in various countries since 2005 and as a linguistics tutor
since 2012. In early 2022, I became a certified translator for Indonesian in
Germany and was publicly appointed and sworn in by the Higher Regional Court in
Dresden. I am registered as an interpreter and language mediator for English,
Indonesian, and Bislama at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF)
in Germany.
