Bio

Hello, I'm Sarah! I'm a native English speaker with over 12 years of experience in Japanese-to-English translation, and currently specialise in corporate communications and marketing related to sustainability and health and beauty products.

In every potential translation there is a sweet spot that encapsulates
both literal accuracy and liberal localisation. This the natural goal
for every translator, but sometimes we need to step back and realise
that each text and every client is different, and the end goal may
actually lie somewhere else on the scale. I convene with clients to suss
out the best kind of translation for their purpose, and work
accordingly. So if you need a literal translation of a marketing
presentation, or just want to get the gist of each chapter in a book for
research purposes, let me know and I can deliver.
