I´m a British/Portuguese senior translator with 35 years experience living in Portugal. I´m fluent in English (mother tongue level), Portuguese (mother tongue level) German, and Spanish (Instituto Cervantes). For the last 35 years, I´ve worked for several of the largest Portuguese publishers such as the Bertelsmann Group) (all Konsalik novels and several other authors), Presença, Temas e Debates and others. I also work as senior freelancer for CLEPUL (Lisbon University) translating the minute books of held Conferences for publishing in the UK.

I specialize as well in technical Translations and I currently work for Transperfect, Applied Language Solutions, CPSL (Spain), KJInternational (USA), TranslateMedia (UK), SDL (Poland), Vanenberg (Greece), Eurideas (Belgium), Universe Technical Translations (USA) translations on Oil & Gas = Petroleum, Zelenka (Czechoslovakia), Morote Translations (Spain) among many others.

One of my main areas of expertise is Life Sciences, Medicine/Pharma because I attended Medical School for 4 years and also worked as Translator for the Medical and Pharma departments of Pfizer Inc.. Moreover, I worked for 3 of the largest Patent and Trademarks Portuguese firms. (Type of documents: clinical trials, patents (medicine, chemistry, biochemistry, genetics and others), veterinary classes, and protocols)
Currently and for the last 4 years, I have been working for Transperfect on a daily basis and focusing on clinical protocols, clinical trials and all kinds of pharmaceutical documents.
