Recently, I have been doing final editing of scientific papers written in English by non-native English speakers. Fair or not, for scientific and academic work to have maximum impact and advance the careers of the scientists, it has to appear in English in a top-rated English-language journal. I am typically provided with a paper already in English, but in which the quality of the English is not equal to the high quality of the work presented. My task is to rewrite as necessary, so the paper will be accepted by the target journal.

Fair or not, the top scientific journals are in English, and in order for the work to have full impact, and advance the careers of the scientists, it has to appear in English, in a top-rated English-language journal. Many scientists and academics who are not native English speakers produce work at the highest level, but their written English is not at that same high level. I am typically provided with a paper already in English, but requiring final editing to bring the quality of the written language up to the quality of the work itself. My task is to rewrite as necessary, to get the paper accepted by the target journal.

I have been working on a series of medical reports, including examinations, pathology and medical imaging, for patients with various kinds of cancer.
