Discussion

Non-ProZ.com May 7, 2004:
Aciseler is defined as "Coucher pour la premire fois le plant de vigne." I'm looking for an English expression which might cover this.

What do you want suggestions for "aciseler" or "Coucher pour la premire fois le plant de vigne."? If it is "aciseler" that you want help with, can you provide more context?

Proposed translations

Selected

fully embed/ completely cover with earth/ soil

According to the Larousse: coucher une plante, en plier les rameaux et les couvrir de terre pour qu'ils prennent racine

I think "fully embed" should literally and figuratively "cover" this one :)

Less technical would be "completely cover with earth/soil"

Hope this helps :)
