As I said before, MB is used more often, but you can find Spanish sites that use Mb also.

MB

MB - megabyte
Mb - megabit
1 megabyte = 1,048,576 bytes
1 megabit = one million bits

NB: byte and bit are not the same thing!

bit = a binary digit. In digital computing, the smallest unit of digital information. A bit can either be "on" or "off", represented as a "1" or a "0." All data processed by a computer is composed of bits organized into larger groups of bytes (8 bits) and words (two bytes).

byte = a group of 8 bits of digital information. One byte is required to represent an alphabetic character. A byte is the smallest addressable unit of memory. One thousand bytes is a kilobyte (KB), one million bytes, a megabyte (MB), one billion bytes a gigabyte (GB), and one quadrillion bytes a terabyte (TB).

Massimo,

your last example (132 Mb/s máximo) is about megabits per second, not megabytes. Bits and bytes are often confounded.

Cheers.

Sure, but this doesn't mean it is correct. The correct abbreviation for 'megabyte' is MB.
