Fellow linguists in the West Midlands and beyond, come and join us at the Ort Café on Saturday, 10th November from 2pm.

Most of us know how isolated and solitary it can feel doing our job. This powwow is an opportunity to meet fellow professionals, seasoned translators and budding language enthusiasts alike, exchange experiences, discuss ideas and simply socialise with like-minded people.

The venue I’ve chosen is unlike any other - an art and community cafe and bar, quite different from the venues we’ve used in the past, and I hope you like it. Plus, they usually have some freshly baked cakes! It’s not in central Birmingham but it's only about 10-15 min on the bus 50 route and is very easy to get to. It is located in the Old Print Works in Balsall Heath, opposite Moseley Road Baths, 500-504 Moseley Road, B12 9AH. The bus stop is a stone’s throw away from the café.
