Вместе с тем, заказчику не всегда требуется оборудование world-класса. Высокая производительность и надежность имеют и более высокую цену, поэтому если в процессе переговоров вы слышите от покупателя, что «XXX − безусловно, хорошая машина, но в данном случае подойдет и что-то попроще», предложите ему выбрать из линейки YYY. Почти наверняка в следующий раз клиент уже сам задаст вопрос об этом бренде.
Завод YYY – один из крупнейших в Китае производителей, специализирующихся на выпуске дорожно-строительной техники и фронтальных погрузчиков. Предприятие было основано в 1958 году в городе Цинчжоу (Qingzhou). Спустя 50 лет, в 2008 году, марка YYY пополнила линейку XXX, однако, несмотря на серьезную переработку машин, внедрение технологий контроля и производства XXX, название для покупателей было сохранено.
Чем интересна китайская техника, на каких покупателей она рассчитана и можно ли продвигать ее впятером, об этом нам рассказал руководитель отдела продаж YYY г-н C.
- Г-н C., в каких случаях выбирая между XXX и YYY, заказчик остановится на китайской машине?
- Обычно технику YYY покупают компании, у которых не хватает средств на XXX или они не достигли еще того уровня, чтобы купить оборудование world-класса. Другой вариант, когда для решения конкретной задачи предприятию не требуется высокая производительность. Как пример, в 2015 разрез XXX приобрел у нас грейдер, предназначенный для обслуживания технологических дорог. Еще одна ситуация: предприятию под проект или задачу необходимо большое количество машин, которые должны работать в разных местах. Например, подрядчик строит 300 км дороги, и в летний сезон нужно одновременно строить несколько участков. Задачи могут быть разные, однако очевидно, что наличие в линейке такого оборудования расширяет возможности дилера.
− Что можно сказать о заводе YYY?
− Я был в Китае на разных производствах, поэтому есть с чем сравнивать. YYY − это крупное, современное предприятие, работающее на очень хорошем уровне. Численность работников − около 3 тысяч человек, отдельные цеха для сборки погрузчиков, бульдозеров, цех по производству мостов и трансмиссий, сварочный цех, где производят рамы для всей линейки, большой склад запасных частей, испытательный полигон, собственный учебный центр. Все машины производятся по стандартам XXX и проходят строгие испытания безопасности и качества, продукция сертифицирована, в том числе, по ГОСТ.
YYY − стратегический бренд XXX. В развитие завода и в расширение номенклатуры XXX инвестировал значительные средства. Сначала завод выпускал только погрузчики грузоподъемностью 3,5 и 6 тонн. В 2012 году началось расширение модельного ряда − выпущен первый грейдер, в 2013 − грунтовый каток, в 2015 году − бульдозер.
Сегодня предприятие выпускает колесные погрузчики объемом ковша от 0,9 до 4,5 куб.м., грунтовые катки, грейдеры, гусеничные бульдозеры, уплотнители закладки отходов. Среди потребителей − строители, дорожники, лесная отрасль, АПК, предприятия горнодобывающей промышленности.
− Почему после приобретения компании XXX не включил продукцию YYY в свою линейку?
− Возможно, это была рекомендация маркетинга. Кстати, многие автомобильные компании, приобретая действующие производства, сохраняют их на рынке. Пример − структура ZZZ.
Несмотря на то что бренд принадлежит XXX, компания YYY имеет сегодня собственные каналы сбыта, свою маркетинговую стратегию и собственную службу технической поддержки. В Китае бренд продвигают 200 дилеров, открыто 130 авторизованных сервисных центров.
За пределами КНР продукция продается через дилеров XXX, при этом сбытом занимаются отдельные предприятия. Официальные дилеры и сервисные центры XXX Ltd (именно так называется завод с 2013 года) работают в 30 странах мира.
Translation - English XXX equipment is ready to fulfill virtually any task a construction or a mining company can be faced with. Alongside with that, not every customer is in need of world-class equipment. High performance and reliability also come with a higher price, therefore, if during negotiations you hear a buyer say that "XXX is certainly a good machine, but in our case, something less sophisticated will do", refer them to products from YYY line. Most likely, the next time the customer is shopping they will inquire about this brand themselves.
YYY is one of China's largest manufacturers of road-building equipment and front-end loaders. The plant was founded in Quinzhou in 1985. 50 years later, in 2008, YYY brand was added to XXX line, however, in spite of the significant redesign of the machines and the implementation of XXX quality control and production technologies, the brand name was preserved for marketing purposes.
We sat down with Sales Department Manager of YYY Mr. S. to talk about what distinguishes Chinese machines, what market they target and whether the brand can be promoted by a team of five.
– Mr. S, in what cases would a customer, while choosing between XXX and YYY, pick the Chinese brand?
– YYY machines are usually purchased by the companies that either cannot afford XXX or have not yet reached the level at which they can purchase world-class equipment. Alternatively, when a company is not in need of high-performance machinery to complete a certain task they will choose YYY. As an example, in 2015 XXX strip mine purchased our grader designed to service haul roads. Consider another scenario: to complete a project or a task a company needs a large number of machines performing at different locations. For example, a contractor has a task to build a 300-km road; he wants to take advantage of the summertime and build several sections simultaneously. Tasks may vary; however, it is evident that having such line of equipment available expands distributor opportunities.
– What could you say about YYY plant?
– I have visited various production sites in China, so I have something to compare it with. YYY is a large and modern enterprise operating on a very decent level. There are approximately 3,000 employees, two separate assembling shops for loaders and dozers, a shop for manufacturing axles and transmissions, a welding shop where frames for the whole line are produced, extensive spare part storage, testing ground, and its own training centre. Every machine is manufactured according to the XXX standard and undergoes thorough safety and quality checks; all products are certified and meet state technical requirements.
YYY is a strategic brand of XXX. XXX has put a considerable amount of investment into the development of the plant as well as the expansion of the production range. At first, the plant only produced loaders with a load capacity of 3.5 and 6 tonnes. In 2012, product line expansion took place and a first grader was manufactured, followed by a soil roller in 2013 and a dozer in 2015 respectively.
Today the plant produces wheel loaders with bucket capacity of 0.9 to 4.5 m3, soil rollers, graders, crawler dozers, landfill compactors. Building, road engineering, timber, agro- and mining companies are among our customers.
– Why did XXX not include YYY products into its line after the acquisition of the company?
– Perhaps, that was done for marketing purposes. By the way, it is common practice for auto companies to keep the name of production sites on the market after acquiring them. Take ZZZ as an example.
Despite the fact that the brand belongs to XXX, YYY currently has its own sales channels, marketing strategy and technical support service. In China, the brand is promoted by 200 distributors, there are 130 authorized service centres open.
Outside of PRC YYY products are sold through XXX distributors with independent companies being engaged in sales. XXX Ltd (the official title of the plant since 2013) has its authorized distributors and service centres open in 30 other countries all over world.

После дефолта по первому выпуску муниципальных облигаций, случившегося в 1998 году, мы опасались, что инвесторы не захотят покупать облигации эмитента, который уже однажды не выполнил взятые обязательства.
Но во время переговоров N, представлявший Банк, убедил нас в том, что команда, собранная в Банке, сможет решить эту задачу, потому что обладает необходимым опытом в муниципальных заимствованиях. Он сделал презентацию, в которой рассказал о многочисленных и успешных займах, организованных банком, где он работает, и рассказал, что в текущих благоприятных условиях заем позволит снизить нагрузку на бюджет, уменьшив стоимость заимствований и увеличив их срок, поможет городу стать более прозрачным и создаст публичную кредитную историю.

In 2002, me and my colleagues in the Mayor’s Office were against using bonds in debt financing. After the default of the first issue of municipal bonds which occurred in 1998 we were afraid that investors would not want to purchase the issuer’s bonds that had failed to meet its financial obligations before.
However, during the negotiations N, who was representing the Bank, convinced us that the team formed in the Bank would be able to solve this problem, since it had all the relevant experience in municipal lending. In his presentation, he told us about numerous and successful cases of loans provided by the Bank, which he represents, pointing out that in the current favorable conditions lending could ease the burden on the municipal budget through reducing borrowing costs and extending borrowing terms, as well as improve the municipal Transparency Index and create Public Credit.
