I am a native English speaker with fluent French acquired from both academic studies to degree level and living and working in France for many years.

I am an experienced and professionally qualified French interpreter/translator. I am NRPSI registered (National Register of Public Service Interpreters) and I have a lot of experience working in different areas of the Public Services including with the Police (interviews under caution, witness statements), Social Services (Child Case Conferences), at Court, in Hospitals and in various areas of Local Government (e.g. DSS, housing).

My private sector work has included face-to-face interpreting for football clubs at press conferences and at European matches and translations/transcriptions of ‘live’ audio files of football player interviews during the FIFA World Cup.

Furthermore I have vast experience of teaching both French and English as well as delivering the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting in both the Law and Health options in Norfolk for the last 4 years. Teaching languages and interpreting has given me an in-depth knowledge and awareness of the importance of accurate and appropriate transfer of language and the high standards required of interpreters at all times.

At the moment I am working as a free-lance interpreter for different agencies and businesses and I am keen and interested to gain interpreting work in different fields.
