I am a qualified freelance translator - UK native - based at home on the River Thames in SW London. I have very good attention to detail, work well to deadlines and provide a high-quality piece of translation.

I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh and also attended the Zurich Dolmetscherschule and the Translation Institute within the University of Geneva. I ran the UK office of a German building services company and was then Director of a UK engineering Plc before setting up a primary school language teaching company. My translation work involves web pages, brochures (technical and otherwise), installation and user manuals, marketing leaflets, articles, general correspondence, contracts of employment - in fact anything that presents itself. I also work with Trados Studio 2015/17.

I have excellent general translation skills, have specialised in engineering-based fields because of my employment background, but also have a "freer" style, when required, to make marketing documents and leaflets read like "English" English.
