Currently we can only see "Nearly 2 million questions asked" if I remember rightly...
Is there a detectable increase in ProZ activity today/tonight/this morning I wonder?
Rather fun - it reminds me of how excited I would be as a child to see the milometer turn to another thousand miles on the family car.

Yes - I just saw that too! Maybe a management ruse to keep us guessing which will be 'the' question in the hopes of minimizing the payout?

Look at the top of this page (and most others, until they remove them) and you'll see balloons announcing the 2 millionth KudoZ question. Those words are clickable.

But how many irrelevant/useless questions ? i.e. questions already asked and recorded in the glossary, questions whose answers are easily found in a bilingual dictionary, etc. ?

Congratulations to Proz.com and the KudoZ community. I rather like the fact that the 2,000,000th question has been asked by a newcomer.
And as my grandfather used to say: "Well begun is half done." So, with 2,000,377 questions on the clock, the count-down resumes to the next milepost: 5,000,000. All I hope is that by then the KOG will have been sorted out, and that a proper spirit of conviviality will have returned to certain language pairs which are tending towards cultural and social oblivion.
Now, back to that coffee and toast. I'll look in again later perhaps - there's still the matter of that vague rumour to investigate... Gee, I hope I backed the 'most-helpful' answer!
