Hi,
here is the sentence "apparition d'une ACFA de novo, sans dyskaliémie, réduite par Cordarone"
dyskaliémie = "perturbation des taux de potassium dans le sang" http://www.larousse.fr/encyclopedie/medical/dyskaliémie/1263...
Is there a similar word in English?
Thanks
Joanna

: I think "dyskalemia" works following "de novo". "Kalium" is Latin for "potassium," in case everyone didn't know. I would also keep the "sans." The audience is medical practitioners, it seems, not patients.

sans dyskaliémie

I'm not a medic, hence the 3, but the word gets very few Google hits in French or English. So maybe "normal potassium" would be better. You'd obviously need to make it clear in your translation that Cordarone is not being used to reduce potassium.

Another more wordy alternative if you prefer to use medical jargon: "No hypo/hyperkalemia".

: This is the basically the same as my answer, but longer. //My answer is perfectly clear. "Sans dyskaliémie" is "normal potassium" or "no hypo/hyperkalemia".

I can't see what your true answer is. Is it "potassium levels are not normal/hypo or hyperkalaemia" From a medical perspective, your answer is unclear
