Here is the usage from a Chilean regulatory document. It is, in fact, a definition of the term, but I find that it is used in a very local or idiosyncratic way:

Paño:
Conjunto de equipamientos que permite conectar un Elemento Serie al ST, compuesto, en general, por interruptor, desconectadores, transformadores de medida, pararrayos, trampas de onda, condensadores de acoplamiento, etc.

ST stands for "Sistema de transmisión"

I see that the term "paño" has been posted before but I'm unsure of the answers that were given.
