Tug/Tow Vehicle Specific Training (mules)
Provide safe operating procedures to all tug/tow vehicle operators using materials provided by the equipment manufacturer and approved by program administrator and/or safety leader and observe the operator demonstrating proper procedures before allowing them to operate the vehicle unsupervised.
New operators, OC supervised contractors (Temporary Employees), contracted services must complete the training before operating a utility vehicle in an Owens Corning controlled, owned or managed site regardless of previous experience and training.
Only Owens Corning competent trainers (or approved third party providers) are authorized to train, retrain and provide refresher training for operators
Rail Car Movers Specific Training
Train and certify all **rail car mover operators** using materials (may be provided by the equipment manufacturer) and approved by program administrator and/or safety leader for use in a training certification program before allowing them to operate a rail car mover.
New operators, OC supervised contractors (Temporary Employees), contracted services must complete the approved program before operating a rail car mover in an Owens Corning controlled, owned or managed site regardless of previous experience and training.
