Artère scissurale dorsale

French to English Medical Medical (general) left lung arteries
Dear colleagues,

I am getting nowhere fast trying to work out which artery this is.

I found an excellent diagram in French of this, but no equivalent in English.

Anybody with a good knowledge of the left lung vasculature out there?

Hi,
I think I may have found it
posterior segmental artery

the difficulty was there was no equating the French with this until I found two excellent diagrams

@ Liz Not often you`re stuck for answers.
Will this help?

I realise that this refers to the brain but might provide some ideas.

EN + FR diagrams

In case it helps, this is the most detailed EN diagram of pulmonary arteries that I can find:

https://ranzcrpart1.fandom.com/wiki/Thorax:Arterial_structur...

I know you've already found a good FR diagram, but maybe this one showing "artère scissurale" will at least serve to confirm what you've already found (no mention of "dorsale", though):
http://passeport.univ-lille1.fr/site/terminologie_medicale/a...

I'll leave someone else to figure out what corresponds to what, as it's too complicated for me!
Note from asker:
Thanks for the English diagram! I had just found one before you posted:)
