Discussion

A.G. Jun 29, 2022:
Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Jun 29, 2022:
This is not a mechanical detent but a magnetic holding mechanism at discrete angles.

hamulec magnetyczny o działaniu dyskretnym

This is not a mechanical but a magnetic brake. The braking action takes place at discrete angles.

Magnetic Detent Brakes are integrally mounted with no intermediate couplings.
Detent Torque Angle degrees 30, 45, 90, or 120

Magnetic Detent Brakes (stepper motors)

Magnetic Detent Brakes are integrally mounted with no intermediate couplings. The Detent Brake requires no excitation voltage or power input to provide additional holding torque at given step angles, while the motor is at rest. This device proves very useful when power off holding torque is required.
