Buenas tardes, estoy buscando el mejor término para recepcionar que es recibir e ingresar a un paciente en Argentina y no estoy segura cuál sería la mejor opción en inglés. ¿Puede ser ¿Admit"?

Plus, I think admission always has to be signed off by a human, it can't be done automatically.

this system you describe is also used in Primary care, so you wouldn't be "admitting" a patient in that scenario

Are you sure the intended meaning is to "recibir e ingresar"???
If so, it's "admit" without a doubt, but I don't think that is the intended meaning here.
The definition is:
Recepcionando: Reemplazando el proceso manual de recepción del paciente y sumando nuevas funcionalidades para la administración de los pacientes que esperan ser atendidos.
It doesn't mention "ingresados" and implies that they also treat outpatients. These are not "admitted" but they are still "received" so they can be referred to and seen by the appropriate doctor or nurse.
