Italian term

ass

Italian to English Bus/Financial Accounting Bilancio
This is the heading "Δ vs LY [ass]" for a column of key figures relating to a bank's balance sheet.
The numbers in this column are the difference between this year and last year, so I presume that LY stands for last year although the table is in Italian, but I have no idea what "ass" stands for.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks!

assoluto It does stand for assoluto.
Thank you to everyone for your help!

Maria Lisa Yes, I think that's the answer, though I think it would more often be translated with a currency sign than the word 'absolute'.

There may be another column headed '%'.
Simona de Logu (asker) Feb 26:
It's a list of key figures (income, costs, profit etc.) with columns for 2023 and 2022 and then this column with the change from one year to the next.
ass. assoluto - absolute? Hard to say without seeing the table and having the rest of it, but could it be "absolute" (ass.), as opposed to "relative" (%) ? The first part, as you wrote, should be the difference (delta) between the year in the table and the previous year (LY)
I hope that helps! ciao

Assets If it is a balance sheet, could it be referring to assets compared year on year?

> if the figures are in there, they have been 'assigned' or allocated. If not, they are assenti or 'missing' namely unavailable.

Otherwise, feel 'absolutely' free to post 'assoluti'.
Example sentence:

Due tipologie di valori: COSTI che sono i valori assegnati ai fattori produttivi (FP) e che esprimono variazioni economiche negative
