It's one of many dedicatory lines of a biography. They appear to be quite emphatic and I feel this should be translated in the pattern of
**For whom the bell tolls**.

Does **To whom lost his/their dream** appear to be acceptable to a native speaker?

Instead of **To those who lost their dream**?
